Weight Loss and Jogging
Weight loss and jogging brings about tremendous
benefits
that can improve your health, overall fitness and general well being. Isn't that what we all want? If we're healthier we're better able to meet the demands of our daily lives whether it be raising a family, performing our best at work or just participating in recreational fun.
Get Results Weight loss and jogging are a terrific fit! I started my weight loss journey earlier this year. I was too tired to really begin any sooner after my daughter's birth. I knew I'd have to lose the fat eventually since it literally was weighing me down. I was more easily exhausted and generally unhappy about my appearance. Now, after jogging for a while, watching what I eat (not being obsessive just more aware) I've lost four dress sizes. I started at a size 16 (I was never this size before) and have just purchased and begun wearing a size 8! I'm absolutely thrilled because I've never been a size 8 either. It's a fabulous feeling to just pick up a pair of pants (without trying them on) and be able to wear them when you get home. I wasn't sure if they'd fit, but boy was I happy when they did. I could not have lost the weight, however, without jogging regularly. As much as we would like to try to escape an exercise routine, we really cannot do it. Well we can't do it and lose weight, reduce blood pressure, strengthen our cardiovascular system and many more things that are terrific benefits of regular fitness. So plug into your iPod or mp3 player and get motivated.
Music
is very motivating and can keep you going so you finish a great workout. Find songs that make you want to get up and out of the house.
How to Succeed At Losing the Weight Know that you can lose weight by jogging. Weight loss and jogging go well together. Just take it slowly. Don't rush any new routine since injuries await you around the corner. You'll know when it's time to up the challenge because you won't be as tired as when you first started. You'll build your endurance and stamina thereby giving your body more to handle. And it will! Don't get crazy about
calories.
Realize that your body only needs a certain amount and no more. Particularly if weight loss is your goal with jogging. Too many calories and you'll be at a standstill: jogging without results. Too little and you'll be at a standstill, too because your body needs the fuel to burn and without the fuel it'll begin burning muscle tissue. You don't want that. Feed your body properly and it'll take care of you.
Get the proper running shoes, some comfortable clothes and simply get out there! Plug yourself into your favorite tunes and get moving. Get a friend to join you or take along your
dog
so you'll be motivated to exercise. Inviting a human friend to join you is a terrific way to motivate one another to lose weight. This way you can both enjoy your weight loss and jogging routine together while encouraging and supporting one another, too. Track It
Some people like to track the food they eat. That's a good practice. I think it's a good idea to also track your miles jogged. It'll inspire you when you look back a month from now and see how far you've progressed. Reward Yourself
Make time for yourself. Not just with your daily exercise which is really good time for you, but reward yourself with a massage, pedicure, manicure or a caramel frappuccino (my favorite!). You do have to indulge every now and again and it's a great way to give yourself a little pat on the back for your hard work.
