When thinking about a particular exercise to start you may wonder about the advantages of jogging. There are several pluses to begin jogging and hopefully the list below helps you decide if this is the best fitness routine for you.
It's inexpensive. Jogging does not require lots of gadgets, expensive work out clothes or gear to get started. You can pretty much step outside your front door in a comfortable pair of shorts and t-shirt with a decent pair of jogging shoes and you're on your way.
Jog any time of day. If you're a morning person than you can enjoy jogging in the morning. This way you start your metabolism off right while also getting your exercise out of the way. Of course, you can jog in the afternoon or evening. It really depends on you and your schedule as to what time of day you jog.
You can jog anywhere. One of the great advantages of jogging is that it can be done anywhere. You can do street jogging if you're living in a city, jog in a state park, along trails, in your neighborhood, along bike paths or on the beach. It really depends on whether or not these venues are convenient to where you live, but you do have variety, which makes jogging more interesting then simply doing it on a treadmill (which, of course, is also an option).
Enlist family and friends to join you. Jogging can be a solitary exercise if you desire, but you can also involve your family and friends. This way you'll be more motivated particularly when you're starting out. The encouragement, support and the fact that someone is waiting on you to get their daily jog in is a great way to keep you going.
Jog with your dog. Jogging with dogs can be an excellent way to get you and your buddy outside if you can't get someone to go with you. Dogs love to exercise and they're more than happy to be with you so it makes sense to bring them along. Of course, you should be sure your dog is up for the challenge physically so that you don't over exert them. If you have a small dog consider purchasing a pet jogging stroller so that you can go for longer jogs without worry that your pet may become too tired.
You don't have to wear clothes. For some people jogging in the buff is appealing because it gives them the opportunity to fully enjoy the outdoors without being encumbered. You don't want to jog nude if it's illegal in your area. And, you do want to be careful as to where you jog nude so that you don't endanger your personal safety.
